How Our Partner Singapore Notary Public Works With Us
Every notarial act we arrange is performed in person by our partner Notary Public. Mobile Notary Service handles everything around it: checking your document, booking the visit, preparing the paperwork, and the SAL, embassy, translation and courier steps afterwards.
In Singapore, a Notary Public is a practising lawyer appointed by the Board of Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public, which sits under the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL). SAL's published criteria say a notary must have at least 15 years of active legal practice or legal service and be at least 40 years old. Appointments are renewed each year and published in the Government Gazette.
Every certificate can be checked. Each notarial certificate and Apostille issued through SAL carries details that the receiving bank, court or authority abroad can check on SAL's online register. SAL also publishes an official Directory of Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public.
A Notary Public is different from a Commissioner for Oaths. A Commissioner for Oaths witnesses affidavits and statutory declarations for use in Singapore. Documents going to a foreign country must be notarised by a Notary Public, and then authenticated by SAL.
Why We Built a Notary Service That Comes to You
When we looked back at the notary enquiries our team had handled, the same two requests kept coming up.
The first was "Can you come to me?" People were asking for a visit to an HDB flat in Tampines, a condo, or an office at Science Park. Most of them weren't unwell. They just had jobs, children or parents to look after, and no free morning for a trip to a law firm.
The second was "Can you handle the rest?" After signing, people didn't want to queue at the SAL counter, chase an embassy or arrange a courier. Some of them were no longer in Singapore at all. They were graduates in Spain or Italy who needed a Singapore degree apostilled, or families abroad who needed a marriage certificate.
So we built the service around those two requests. Mobile Notary Service offers a notary home visit anywhere in Singapore, and a proxy service that takes your document through SAL and the embassy and delivers it to you.
We also made three promises:
- Fees you can see. Statutory fees are fixed by law and are the same at every notary. We publish our visit and handling fees too. See how our prices are built.
- Honest answers. Some documents don't need a notary. For example, many Singapore birth and marriage certificates can go straight to SAL. When that's the case, we'll say so.
- No promises we can't keep. We don't promise that a foreign authority will accept a document, because that decision is theirs. We check its requirements before you sign, and we never offer video notarisation, which isn't available from Singapore notaries.
How We Protect Your Passport, NRIC and Family Documents
Your documents often contain your passport, NRIC, property details or family matters. We handle them under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) guidelines on NRIC numbers.
- ID checks without keeping your card. The Notary checks your original passport or NRIC to confirm who you are. We copy it only when the notarial act needs it, and we never keep your physical NRIC.
- Originals in safe hands. When you hand over an original for SAL or an embassy, you get a signed receipt. Originals are kept in locked storage while in our care and returned by hand or tracked courier. We update you on WhatsApp at each step.
- Copies deleted within 3 days. Scans and photos you send are used only for your job and are deleted within 3 days after we deliver it, except records the Notary or our accounts must keep by law.
- Confidential by default. For company work, we can sign a non-disclosure agreement on request.

Signing a Document You Can't Fully Read? Our Language Support
We can help you in English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil and many other languages.
If the person signing doesn't read the document's language well, tell us before the appointment. The Notary must be satisfied that you understand what you're signing before they notarise it, so we may arrange an interpreter or a translation first. For documents that need translating, we can translate and notarise them together in one order.
